Fractured Card

Hello friends!  On one of the creative card sites I belonged to
(but have since dropped out of)
they had  several weeks posted about
'fractured' cards.  This is my take on that technique.
You can find many instruction on Youtube on how to create one
if interested.   The papers are all Echo Park,
the flower is created from Spellbinders Bold Blooms and the
sentiment is Stampendous!

I had a lot of fun making this card, you should really
give this technique a try!

Water Related

Hello Friends, we have a new challenge theme at Double D today and
it is WATER RELATED.
We want to see anything that has to do with water!
Below is a mood board for inspiration only.

For my water related card I used a cute never been used before stamp from
Streamside Studios It's Raining Cats and Dogs, colored in with my Olo markers.
The sentiment is from
the same stamp set.. The raindrop paper is LDRS You Are My Sunshine
and I have to say this is an excellent quality paper.  I added a few
The Robins Nest tear drops for rain from the freedom drops bottle.

Make sure to stop on by Double D and see all the
beautiful inspiration from the Design Teams,
these girls are just the best!!

Two Old Bats Reminder April 2024

It's halftime (no, not football) at Two Old Bats
and we want to remind you of our yearly on going Halloween challenge
A few more weeks to join in and we have a fun spooky inspiration board!

I didn't really follow the inspiration board this time but went with the month
of April instead to inspire me.
April is usually pretty rainy and wet around here so I
die cut my Cottage Cutz Trick or Treat Ghost and instead of him holding the moon he
comes with, I die cut an umbrella,  All the papers are from my
scrap bag of Halloween papers!

We would love to have YOU join in our Halloween fun at

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge April 2024

A new challenge starts today at Beautiful Blossoms
where your focal point should be all about flowers!
We have this pretty mood board for inspiration
but you can create any card you want as long as it is a floral!!

I was inspired not only by the pretty colors but the lilies as well.
I grabbed my Cottage Cutz Spring Lilies die set
and made some pretty peach lilies.  The background paper is really more 'green'
then what the photo shows and it's a pretty piece from Mintay.
I arranged my flowers on a Spellbinders Hemstitch die cut.
I decided to leave this card sentiment free.
It's really more of a peachy color in real life too!

Come and visit us at Beautiful Blossoms and see all the pretty
inspiration from the design team!!

It's Here It's Here

Hello friends, can you tell by my title that I am super excited my NEW
Wildflower postage stencil is here from Waffle Flower?
As soon as the mail came I opened it up and started making my wildflower
cards!!  I have a few more done but they will show up later down the road
as I am using them for design team cards for the Stencil Fun challenge
and all I can say is that they are gorgeous!!

You ever get those moods where you just don't want to create anymore?
Well I had one of those moods the last few days and I think
it is just better to walk away for awhile.
I did that until my mail came and in it was my wildflower postage stencil
along with a crazy (and I mean crazy) stamp set I had ordered
to use for the hubby's birthday in May!
Nothing like NEW to get you back in the mood to create!!
It put me in the create mood so much that I created EIGHT cards yesterday,
yes eight and my norm is ONE if I'm lucky to even get one done!!

Anyhow, here is my card using the new stencil:

I am now going to have to re-order the postage sentiments as I seem
to have lost a few, they are very tiny!  I think I am totally addicted
to these postage stencils as I now have six different sets
in my collection, each one as awesome as the next!!

Well that's it for me but if you like to stencil and have the postage die
then this is a very easy one to layer, other then adding the tiny sentiments
it took me about 10 minutes to create, of course I had all my inks
laid out and brushes ready to go!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing my excitement!!

Weather Challenge

We have a fun challenge for you at
Can You Handle The Pressure
where an embossing folder is to be used, wet embossing is permitted
but an eb folder MUST be used too!
Our OPTIONAL theme is WEATHER but it's always an
anything goes challenge using a folder!

It was a cloudy day for my weather card!!
I used an OLD SU cloud folder for my Impression Obsession
kite to fly on, I turned it so I could get a top loading card
then used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border die for the bottom.
My little kite flying mouse is Sunny Studio's Harvest Mice,
he  was already colored and die cut leftover from a previous card make,
so I put him to good use!
The sentiment is TPC Studios.

So, get out those embossing folders and make good use of them by

Showers or Flowers Challenge

Hello friends, today is a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and it is
Flowers/Showers .

As you can see, I went with showers as it gave me
an opportunity to use a few of new new things that are
just sitting patiently waiting to make their debut!!

I used a Casual Friday's rain stencil with  Dew Drop
Summer Sky ink and an Ink & Splatter stencil for the
puddle, same ink!  Then I pulled out a Spellbinders
Duck With Umbrella die, cut all but the duck in white scraps
then colored in with my Olo and Copic markers.
This is a cute die set with lots of other options
to add if you would like, it includes a cute raincoat die too!
The sentiment I thought was perfect from
Stampendous  Spring Sentiments.
I think this little duck is just the cutest!!

Come on over to The Sisterhood and join the 'sistahs' and me
for a fun challenge and check out the beautiful inspiration there too!
